Challenge

Filmicca partnered with Magine Pro to migrate its streaming service to the Magine Pro OTT Platform, ensuring seamless integration across mobile applications and big screens. This collaboration aimed to minimise downtime and user disruption, providing Brazilian audiences with uninterrupted access to diverse, high-quality cinema.

Solution

Subscriber Data Migration: Seamlessly transfer Filmicca’s subscriber data to Magine Pro’s platform, enabling full user management through the Magine Pro CMS Console and facilitating ongoing customer communications via our CRM.

Content Migration Support: Assist Filmicca with VOD uploading using the Magine Pro CMS Console for efficient content management. Secure all VOD content with Magine Pro’s DRM.

Branding and Localisation: Implement Filmicca branding across web, iOS, Android, and other applications. Set up localisation to support the Brazilian audience with Portuguese language and Brazilian Real currency.

Big Screen Scaling: Expand Filmicca's reach to big screens with the addition of tvOS, Android TV, Samsung, and LG Smart TV applications.

Subscription Model Setup: Configure a subscription model in Brazilian Real and migrate existing billing data to the Magine Pro billing engine. Integrate with Filmicca’s chosen user payment provider, Stripe.

Promotion and Pricing Tiers: Enable new promotion and voucher capabilities, and allow Filmicca to create various pricing tiers for content packs.

Management and Analytics: Provide secure access to the Magine Pro CMS Console, for curating content, editing metadata, artwork, and publishing assets. Enable generation of in-depth data reports and analytics tailored to Filmicca’s needs.

Cloud Infrastructure and CDN: Utilise Magine Pro’s cloud infrastructure and CDN provisioning network for a rapid launch in Brazil, ensuring high-quality, low-latency streaming 24/7 across all supported devices.

Results

Filmicca seamlessly migrated to the Magine Pro OTT Platform in just three weeks, integrating across web and mobile apps. Integration for Samsung Smart TV and LG TV followed soon after QA processes. This migration prioritised tailored localisation for Brazilian users, featuring Portuguese language settings and transactions in Brazilian Real currency, ensuring enhanced accessibility for film enthusiasts across the country.

Empowered by Magine Pro’s web-based CMS, Filmicca now autonomously curates its streaming service, focusing on authorial and cult cinema.
